About Orbii

Orbii is the intelligence layer for modern lending. We build the AI-native credit underwriting and loan management platform used by banks, fintechs and SME lenders across the GCC and wider MENA region. By blending behavioural, transactional and alternative data, Orbii helps lenders approve faster without taking on blind risk. We are a well-funded, founder-led team of 13, growing to 24 over the next 12 months, headquartered in Dubai.

The role

You will build the product surface of the Orbii platform: the client dashboard our customers use every day, the APIs partners integrate with, and the backend services that tie our AI decisioning engine to the real world. You will work across the stack, from FastAPI services and Azure infrastructure to the front end, and see your work land with lenders across the region within days, not quarters.

What you’ll do

  • Design and build backend services and REST APIs in Python/FastAPI, threading new endpoints through the platform end to end
  • Develop and refine our client-facing dashboard, from assessment forms to analytics views
  • Build partner integrations: lead ingestion, POS lending flows and API onboarding for customers and platform partners
  • Implement authentication and access control with Azure Entra ID, including multi-tenant role models for client organisations
  • Work with Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Service Bus and Data Factory; help evolve our async job and document-processing pipelines
  • Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to expose models and AI-powered analysis through clean, reliable product experiences
  • Own quality: testing, observability and pragmatic refactoring as the platform grows

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years as a full stack or backend-leaning product engineer
  • Strong Python (FastAPI, Flask or Django) and solid SQL
  • Confidence with a modern frontend framework (e.g. React/TypeScript) and an eye for usable, clean UI
  • Experience with cloud platforms, Azure a plus, including auth, queues, storage and CI/CD
  • A product mindset: you ask why, ship in small increments and care about the person using the screen

Nice to have

  • Fintech, lending or payments experience
  • Experience with multi-tenant B2B platforms and enterprise auth (Entra ID/AAD)
  • Comfort using AI coding tools to move faster without losing rigour
